NHL: What’s on next for the Penguins?

The NHL announced on Monday that the Pittsburgh Penguins have been named the host team for their season opener against the Edmonton Oilers.

The game will take place at CONSOL Energy Center in Edmonton, Alberta, on Nov. 15 at 9 p.m.

ET.

The announcement comes just hours after the Pittsburgh franchise announced the move to Edmonton following the completion of the team’s expansion season.

The Penguins will now play the Oilers for the second straight year, the NHL announced in a statement.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are currently the only team with a winning record in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, having won the Eastern Conference title in 2017 and the Stanley Cups in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
