When is the next NFL draft?
When will the next draft be?
It’s a question many people ask themselves when it comes to the NFL draft.
It has been more than a decade since the draft was introduced in 1993, and even the top picks have been there since the mid-1980s.
But the NFL is taking things one step further with the 2017 draft.
It’s set to be the most-anticipated since it’s inception, with some of the biggest names from the past being on the line.
Here are 10 of the big names that could be drafted in the coming months.1.
Marcus Mariota: The first round will be a very close call between Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota and LSU wide receiver Dede Westbrook.
Mariota is the first NFL draft pick in the last five years to get a head-coaching job, having taken over at Tennessee in 2012.
Westbrook is a top-20 receiver in the draft and could go anywhere from the third to fourth round.
The Broncos are a long shot to pick up Westbrook’s contract, but it’s not impossible to envision a trade.2.
Leonard Fournette: The Jaguars could be in the market for a wide receiver after drafting Leonard Fournettes third overall in the 2018 NFL draft, but they are still going to need a slot receiver to go along with him.
Fournetes stock fell drastically after the 2017 season, but the Jaguars are still trying to get his contract worked out, which is a process that could take several months.
The team is also trying to bring back DeAndre Hopkins, who is currently with the Titans.3.
Cody Kessler: Cory Schneider has been trying to make a change in Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson’s offense, but he is going to have to wait until after the draft to make that happen.
Kessler is the second pick in this year’s draft after Ezekiel Elliott, and he could slide to the third overall spot.
The Browns will be very interested in him, but with Kessler’s stock dropping he may not be able to come cheap.4.
Deshaun Watson: The Browns have been struggling in the passing game this season, and they have a lot of holes to fill.
After a stellar rookie season, the Browns are going to want to get an upgrade on the running back position with Watson at the top of the depth chart.
The Texans were able to draft a solid back in DeAndre Washington in the second round of this year (and he was the Browns most productive back).
If Watson is the one that falls to them, he could make a very good backup to the Browns’ rushing attack.5.
Isaiah Crowell: Isaias’ stock fell with the Cleveland Browns after he went undrafted, but Crowell is still on the radar of the Browns and he’s an excellent athlete.
If Crowell falls to the Texans, he would be a huge upgrade over their other running back, Chris Polk.
Ryan Shazier: This is a very big year for the Bengals running back.
They have had injuries to a number of key players this year, and their quarterback, Andy Dalton, is having a tough time of it.
J.J. Watt, Le’Veon Bell, Carlos Dunlap, and Giovani Bernard are all coming off seasons where they had serious injuries.
There is also the possibility that the Bengals have traded up to get the top pick in next year’s NFL draft and they may decide to go with Shaziers talent.7.
Ezekiel Elliott: Elliott is the Browns top running back prospect.
He is a talented player with a lot to offer, but is his draft stock down after a disappointing 2017 season?
The question could be asked at the end of the draft, and it could be a little premature, but this year could be the year that Elliott’s stock is at its peak.
Shavon Shields: There’s no denying that the Colts need to add a receiver, and that’s why they are taking a hard look at defensive end Shavon Ward.
Shields was one of the best players in the AFC South in 2017, and was one part of the Colts defense that shut down a number in the postseason.
However, his stock fell significantly in 2018, and the Colts are going in a different direction.
With an opportunity to improve their defense, they could use another pass rusher.
Michael Thomas: Thomas could go in the top three picks if the Texans are able to land an elite receiver.
Thomas is considered one of football’s top defensive linemen and could be an ideal fit with the Texans.
Teez Tabor: Teez Tabor has had a career that has been overshadowed by the success of DeAndre
